M92, any further development?

Hi everyone,

1) Last update was done on December last year. Can anyone tell if M92 is going to get any fixes anymore? Looks like M96 has all the attention. I was even thinking about buying one, but considering no further updates of M92, how could I know M96 will get any support once another model is on its way?

2) Booxtor, you confirmed years ago that Boox is going to implement Android and that M92 maybe could get Android version as well. Could you confirm if this is still the case? Are there any plans to release Android OS for M92 which would maybe fix other issues still exsiting with current device? I will take simple "no" as an answer as well. Just want to know.

In case you haven't found it yet, the Lynx has a new update. It's supposed to improve TTS and touchscreen accuracy, among other things. Has anyone tried it yet? Any improvements?

I have onyx reader and today reset factory it and erase all .
then I see all app and dicts and TTS are deleted.

I update it But not return any things .
plaese help me .

How can install all app and dicts and TTS (default program )?

how can go to recovery mode? or flash CWM ?

Hello .
I Update my reader onyx c65ml today.
befor update I erase internal card and factory reset .and then update.
after and update I see any default app and TTs and Dicts and font .... are not exist.
I update again but default app and other default are not see.
Help me please .

also I want root device but appear error " device dose not found"
I need go to recovery for flash some app.But I don't know.

After upgrade it's impossible to start my T68
Yesterday i've seen that there was a new update on Onyx website, so hoping to fix my accurancy touchscreen problem i decided to upgrade: bad idea!!! :smack:
Now my device works no more: have a look here http://youtu.be/dnGMsfs-gGk
I'd like to to reverse but i don't know where to get the old update file, because now on onyx website there is only the last update.
For fixing this problem i tried to change From Lynx to Booxtor Edition using this tutorial*, but Windows Xp and Windows Vista don't recognize my device (no drivers?) so it's no possible to start the process with mfgtool2 tool ("No device Connected" when T68 is in "download" mode).
I don't know really what i have to do now :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

M92 stopped loading HTTPS pages

About a week ago, my M92 no longer loads SSL (https) pages.
No error, it simply does nothing, i.e. tries quickly and return to the 100% on the current page immediately.
I has worked fine for years prior to this.

Does anybody have an inkling as to what might be the cause of this?
Needles to say, I need this working.

I guess I could reinstall the software, but it would be nice if it cold be fixed with a less drastic solution.

Any thoughts?

Hi all,

Is it possible to upgrade Icarus Excel 9.7 (E1050BK) with Onyx Boox M92 firmware?

Firmware currently installed on my Icarus is from January 2013 and I see that Onyx Boox M92 has firmware from December 2013.

If possible - how to do that update step by step?

Cant Download IVONA TTS Voice files

I installed the Arta Tech 22 Oct update on my Arta Tech BOOX T68 using the update.zip on the SD card. The installation went flawlessly.

After installation I was experiencing various problems on the reader. I decided to factory reset in order to solve these issues. Now I have a new problem in that I get an error message "NO VOICE FILES" when I try to play the Ivona TTS. The Ivona AMY TTS voice files seem to have disappeared after the factory reset.

Reinstalling the 22 Oct update does not restore the voice files - I guess that they are not in the update package.

There is a download voice files option in the Ivona TTS settings, but this does not appear to be able to recover the voice files - nothing happens when I select download voice files.

Does anyone know how to restore the IVONA AMY Voice files on a T68 (with Arta Tech 22 Oct firmware) that has been factory reset?

M96 New "Fat" Stylus

The new "fat" stylus has the eraser option which at the moment isn't active with the firmware, so instead it acts as a pen.

However, I have noticed that the field of effect around the "eraser" end is actually quite large, so much so that I have to be very careful not to let the eraser end go near the device.

Is this happening for other people as well?

"java.lang.arithmeticexception divide by zero" dictionary problem

Hi everyone,
I have this problem with my dictionaries on M96. I have a number of stardict dictionaries, that all worked well until I updated the device.
Since then, every time I select a word to make the dictionary give me a translation, it returns me instead the sentence "java.lang.arithmeticexception divide by zero".
What does i mean? How can I solve?

Any blogs on upcoming Onyx-Boox hardware?

Does anybody know of any blogs covering what Onyx-Boox has in the development pipeline for hardware? I know that occasional snippets on the subject turn up in this forum, but generally in-passing rather than the main topic of a thread.

The reason I'm asking is that the right-side (most used) page-forward button on my i62HD has recently failed, so I will need to buy myself a new eReader before the left side fails as well (probably in the next year or so), and will therefore be keeping a closer eye out for what major changes may be coming (so that I don't settle for a mere iteration if a major improvement is just around the corner).

Hey! I've got an M92 and use it a fair bit for reading journal articles and textbooks on. It seems to be quite a niche to do this, with most people just reading off monitors or tablets. Hoping to get a bit of feedback to to spur some new design in this area - I'm a product design student myself.

1) What are the things you like about your e-reader?

2) What are the things you dislike?

If you have any suggestions for how an e-reader of the future should work, would also love to hear it, thanks!

[M92] Which method do you use to read web feed (rss)?

Hi all !

I read many RSS feed with Feedly and I would like to use my M92.
Do you know a solution?
I thought to use Read It Later (Pocket) or Evernote but I do not think there is a client for the M92.

Question: T68 Lynx and Calibe Companion and/or external SD card

I just recieved my T68 Lynx today and I absolutely love it. For me, it is the perfect size, shape, color, everything. I immediately did the update over the air and it all went very smoothly. I am getting used to the touch screen which isn't spot on perfect, but it is consistent and predictable. It knocks the socks off my Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight and my Kindle. I can check my email right from the device. And I installed Tapatalk because I use a lot of the web forums. Now I can read without distraction because my one ereader does everything for me.

But there is at least one thing I do not know how to do. It involves Calibre Companion and it also involves my external SD card. So I am really asking for help from users who might use these two things.

1. When I connect the T68 Lynx to my Linux computer, the computer does not 'see' my external SD card. It just displays the internal drive. I can't simply copy books from my hard drive to the SD card. If I try this from within Calibre, the SD card doesn't show. I am only able to send to the main memory using either my file manager or Calibre.

2. Calibre Companion is able to download books to my device. I set the directory to eBooks on the main memory. I know the books are there because I can read them. But only if I open from within Calibre Companion. I'd like those books to appear on the Home Screen as either "Recently Added" or "Reading" as the case may be.

3. If I remove the SD card and pop it directly into my computer, I can easily copy books to it, but when I replace the card back into the T68 Lynx, they do not appear in my library.

Gotta Be that I am doing something wrong. Can anyone advise what I can do to fix this?
