Hello,
I have a problem with my TTS - no matter what language I choose for my Boox M96 Ivona TTS, it reads only one sentence and then stops. I installed a different TTS voice from android market and the problem doesn't occur. Could you please check if you have the same issue? I have the newest software version avalible from the manufacturer's site.

Hi!

My screen stopped working and I sent it for repair (by itself, withouth the pen). When I got it back, I turned it on to check it worked, and it was all fine. But I didn't check it with the stylus as I had other work. Now today I turned it on for work, but the stylus is not working - no response at all. The buttons work though.

What's interesting is that it also seems as if the system got a bit faster (might be my imagination), so maybe there's been a software update?! I don't know.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I have a question regarding the bluetooth keyboard, which one do you recommend ?

Is it possible to connect a bluetooth mouse as well ?

Which android word processing app do you use ?

Just came across this report. Onyx was exhibiting at HKTDC this year earlier this month. I really like this new design of i86 with two page buttons on the left and a home button in the bottom. The frontlight seems pretty uniform too (except for the top part in the 4th pic.) Cannot wait till the first review of this model. I am debating between i86 and M96. In fact, they are doing a survey right now about their next 9.7 inch ereader.

i am thinking of getting a light for my e-reader, am thinking of getting the Official Onyx BOOX external LED light,

has anyone got any experience with this or any other/better models, reccomendations ?

I have a rather surprising problem with my M92 (firmware 1.8 20131204)

I have a djvu file named something like "Author; Year; Title.djvu" (without the quotes, and the specific filename is not really important, I think.)

I had no problem opening it at first. But since some day, I have no idea what happened, I cannot open it anymore: selecting it makes just the "please wait" wheel spinning.

The strange thing is, if I rename even only one letter (eg. "author; Year; Title.djvu", I can open it again.

What should I do? (my library follows a rather strict naming scheme, so I don't really want to change the title.)

Hi there,

My m92 had been unused for many months. The battery was fully charged when I left it. It now is down to 3 bars on the indicator (assuming this is about 60%). I started reading last night and when I went to bed, I thought I'd let the reader recharge overnight. Got the power supply, plugged it in and saw the little charge icon appear on top of the battery indicator.

Now this morning when I looked at it again I saw that the battery charge level (as per the battery indicator) has not changed at all.

Do I need a new battery?

Hallo all

i use my onyx T68 to read stuff and to underline what i find interesting. Then i would like to export it on my pc (or on FB).

I find extremely hard to highlight something in the standard reader and would like to receive suggestions. Usually i get a "empty selection" message and when i finally get it it's highly imprecise and it is difficult to regulate it. Not to mention the problems when i want to see a bookmarked note, click on it and then i cannot back because the link doesn't work any longer.

Did Booxtor introduce in the last update the option to export the highlights?

Hello everyone!

After I did last update from my local device (ereader), M96 does not work. I reach only "BOOX reader" page. I have already tried booting and manual flashing, but everything stuck during process "Writing system partition...". My mistake that I did not use external SD-card for updating, so now, whenever I boot into recovery regime, reader automatically starts system update from driver and freezes again.

May I ask you for any suggestions? :bookworm:

Hi everyone,


Following from what was done before for M92 I have created a M96 bugfix and feature requests page in the wiki.

It is a great pain to track issues and bugfixes reported on the forum, especially the M96 + T68. Updates and more... monster thread, hence the wiki page. Let's collate all the known and new issues there.

T68 users can create a similar page for their device.

I've rooted my Onyx T68 and installed Superuser App, but i don't understand why when i use "File Manager" (root) or "Unistaller Pro" (root) Superuser doesn't ask me if these Apps can have root rights. All Apps can work now with root rights but i've installed Superuser for limiting these rights. I don't know if it's useful to fix my problem but i've installed Busybox too.

Is it possible to change the screensaver image for when the T68 is in sleep & power off mode?

I know there is a site that specializes in the kindle screensaver images, and they would also be great to use for this device too :)

The default web browser is very nice. You can conveniently read large websites thanks to next/prev buttons which let you "scroll" the page. Unfortunately these buttons does not work in case of saved offline pages and you need to use stylus for scrolling. Can you enable this buttons somehow?

New Onyx Boox C67, D67 & i67. I don't know if/when will be available in western market.
They seem to be the successors of C65. Main differencias
- e-ink Carta screen
- CPU dual core A9 Rockchip RK3026 (as in Boeye T61-2014/T62 and the re-branded Icarus Illumina E653)
-Android 4.4
Other specifications as usual 1024x758, 512 MB, etc.

Different models with/without frontligh and different bodies, i67 seems to be similar body to i62, C67 to C65 and D67 the new design.

Any information? Booxtor?
Will it be available in western market? When?

hi...i just noticed a problem i have with my m92 since a couple of day.
it look like i'm unable to delete files from the internal storage.
if i connect with gserial and launch a dmesg it seems some errors are present on my related file system

AT: Filesystem error (dev mmcblk0p3)
fat_get_cluster: invalid cluster chain (i_pos 0)

this is /etc/fstab entry

dev/mmcblk0p3 /media/flash vfat loop,iocharset=utf8,atime,umask=0 0 0

and /etc/mtab say

/dev/mmcblk0p3 /media/flash vfat ro,relatime,fmask=0000,dmask=0000,allow_utime=0022 ,codepage=cp437,iocharset=utf8,shortname=mixed,err ors=remount-ro 0 0

another strange thing is that according to fdisk /dev/mmcblk0
partition 3 is toggled as linux

i guess i should do an fsck but the command is not present in busybox.
how can i fix the file system?

can i move away the files and format the internal storage? how?

Hi guys. This afternoon, after an update of software to manage cloud, my m92 stop to work properly. It didn't want open anything. So i turned off the device and then it freeze just a second before the end of the boot. Remain the booting screen open and the blue light turned on. When i reset via reset hole, the m92 restart booting exactly the last time. Last time a had a similar issue was when i copy a pdf without free memory. Then the corrumped pdf freeze the m92 and the auto-open fuction at booting get me stuck in an eternal opening waiting. That time i resolved with reset but this time it's different. I think that the update corrupted the firmware in a certain sense. So my question is :
There is a software tool that allow me to reset to data factory my m92?
Something like Odin for samsung device or something like ADB for android device to get out of this situation?
I don't have try to install a newer firmware yet. So i could try that way if somebody say me how.

Ps: I open the device and unplug the battery but it do nothing.

Hi,

There was in the past a thread for similar issue, but not solved one.

M92 does not correctly show some images in my OCR pdf file (but I ran only into few such files over 2 years). Sometimes geometry is missing, figures. It doesn't have anything to do with a color.

Unfortunately current document in which I see this issue cannot be shared on the forum (classified doc for job purpose). Could someone else confirm this issue? Booxtor, could you register this bug at Boox dev team?
